Classic Black Tea

Method

Boil a Cup of Water
-
After boiling, add the water to the tea leaves
-
Let the leaves brew for 5 mins

Add sugar as per taste

INGREDIENTS

Crushed Cardamom
2 Pods

Whole Peppercorns
2 crushed corns

Crushed Ginger

Few Drops of Lemon Juice 🍋

Method
-
Boil a little over one cup of water in a sauce pan

Add 6 grams of New Chumta Unblended tea leaves to the boiling water
-
Add sugar as per your taste and let it boil for 2 minutes till it attains a reddish hue

Add two crushed slices of ginger to give a strong and pungent flavour
-
Add a pinch of freshly crushed pepper
-
Boil for two minutes in a low flame
-
Once the aroma starts to kick in, pour the tea into a cup

Add a few drop of lemon juice and serve
Chumta Masala Chai
INGREDIENTS

New Chumta Tea Powder 🍃
2 tsps

Hot Milk 🥛
2 cups

Sugar 🍚
4 tsps

Lemon Grass Stalks 🌱
2 Stalks cut finely

Chai Masala
1/2 tsp

Crushed Ginger
SERVES 2 | READY IN 8 MINS | DIFFICULTY NOT TOO TRICKY
Method

Combine 2 cups of water, tea powder, sugar, lemongrass, ginger and chai masala in a non-stick saucepan and boil on a medium flame for 2 minutes.

Add the milk, mix well and bring to boil on a medium flame. When the mixture boils till the brim, reduce the flame to slow to prevent it from spilling out and continue to boil for 4 to 5 minutes, while stirring occasionally if required.

Strain immediately using a strainer and discard the tea powder mixture.

Serve immediately.
Adrak Elaichi Chai
